Yesterday I was listening to an interview with someone who was talking about gas prices and public transportation. The guy made a statement that on average people could save $4000 a year if they used public transportation. I was like "no way" and did a little quick math in my head and realized that at ($40 x 5 times a month x 12 months) I was spending $2400 a year just on gas. If you add in wear and tear on the car it goes up to $7380 a year. Ouch. So I decided that it was time to start driving Deb's car to work. In my car I get about 21 MPG. When I drove Deb's car today I got 54.8 MPG. I believe that drops my gas cost down to about $915 a year. Sweet.
