I can't believe it

I forgot to write about what I got on to write about last night.

Since the house repair people were in our kitchen till late last night, I took Deb out to a pizza place (Me and Ed's) to get pizza so we wouldn't have to deal with cooking so late. We had a coupon that got us $5 off of the pizza, so I figured it wouldn't be so bad to try it out. We got a large specialty pizza, garlic bread and two drinks for just over $20. That is pretty good for something that will last us two meals. Anyway, we placed our order, got our drinks, and waited, and waited, and waited... till they finally announced that our garlic bread was done 36 minutes later. So I went up, and asked what was taking so long (apperently the specialty pizzas take longer to cook). I got the bread, and went and got a drink refill, and when I got back the pizza was ready. I picked it up, sat down, and realized that there were mushrooms on it. We ordered no mushrooms. Fortunately I don't mind them so much, but I took the pizza back anyway on principal. They listened to my complaint and said, "you've waited long enough, can we just give you half off your order?". I said, "sure". So they went back to the cash register and started working on giving me half off, but apperently the only way they can refund anyone's money is by taking an entire item off the receipt. Since the pizza took up the majority of the purchase they couldn't figure out how to do it. Finally they gave up and just refunded the entire bill.
We were pretty excited to get a free meal, and the pizza was pretty good, so we promised them we'd be back. You really don't find such good customer service these days.

Odds and Ends, and Stuff.

So its been a while, big whup, wanna fight about it?

Things have been somewhat interesting around here. I've done a ton of work in the past two weeks (almost 30 hours of overtime). Its been fun, and I've learned a ton.

Our trees are growing nicely. Most of them have leaves on them now. I'm pretty excited. It is fun to see them grow.

Today our warrenty repair people finally came out to fix the problems identified in our one month inspection (ya, you heard me). Our kitchen tile looks much better, and our electrical fan sounds much nicer. Had an interesting scare with a permanent marker, but it was resolved.

That was the good part.
They brought out dirt to fill in the places that washed away in the flood. They even got it looking really good. But, its gone now. The rain washed away everything they did. I almost feel bad for them. Maybe next time they will fix the drainage first.
Next on the list was the pipe that was leaking over our front bathroom. It has only been leaking for a week, but there was already some pretty good damage. They went up into the attic to find the source of the leak and discovered, low and behold, that the insulation people had neglected to put insulation in the front ceiling. That explains why it is always so cold up there huh. My Dad is going to bringing the ladder by later so we can look in the upstairs ceiling and make sure they did that part right.
Anyway, we have a big hole in the ceiling now because the guy that was supposed to repair the leak didn't have the right parts. at least nothing else is getting ruined.

I'm going to be doing homework and Homework this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get out and recover some of the dirt before it washes too far away (or before someone else comes and takes it like last time). Our lawn looks pretty bad too.

I guess that is about all that is worth talking about. Things have actually been going pretty good over all.

Catch ya later!

Should I?

I've been wondering... Should I change my blog design again? It's been a while since I changed it last, and I never quite finished it. What do you all think?

Am I weird for really liking fish burritos for breakfast?

Too Funny to Pass Up.

These two news stories were posted next to each other. They are completely unrelated of course, but it still struck me as funny.

Why?!?!?!???

I went to McDonalds for breakfast today. There is one in the gas station that I go to, so I occasionally go in while I am filling up in the morning. Every single time I have gone I have had a bad experience. Everytime I have walked out of there thinking it would be the last time. The thing is, I usually have so little time in the morning that if I stop for gas I don't have time for breakfest somewhere else. (before anyone comments, I know I should just eat at home, and I am going to work on my schedule so that I have time. I feel like throwing up if I eat before I've been awake for 45-60 minutes, so I'm going to try waking up earlier.)
Anyway, the first time I went I spent 5 minutes standing and waiting for my orange juice, only to have them say, "sorry, we have no orange juice". So I asked for Ice Tea, but they didn't have that either. I finally ended up with Sprite, which was NASTY (as in there was something wrong with it).
The next time I went they just took a really long time; longer than it took to get 16 gallons of gas from the Unical 76 pump. Unical 76 pumps are SLOW! it should not take longer than the pump to throw a McGriddle and a hashbrown into a bag. You go to McDonalds because they are supposed to be FAST!
Finally, today. Today I woke up in a horrible mood because I did poorly on a paper that I spent 27 hours writing this weekend, and got barely any sleep. So I went to McDonalds, and I stood there, and I stood there, and I stood there. Turns out, the cashier could not help me becuase the terminal was locked out from another employee ORDERING THEIR OWN BREAKFAST! Once they go around to taking my order things went pretty fast; like about 20 seconds, including the girl having to go back because she forgot to put in my second hashbrown. The problem was, they gave me my orange juice in a kiddy cup. That is right, a kiddy cup. One of the best things about McDonalds is that they give you your morning OJ in a 20 ounce cup normally (which is nice because it offsets having to pay $1.50 for it). This morning however, I got a nice 8 ounce kiddy cup full of my $1.50 OJ. I asked, "doesn't this normally come in a larger cup?" and the girl replied, "no, that is a small OJ". Well, you were right miss., that was a small OJ.

Too Funny

This will break my template; oh well.
