End of the Year

Life is like low proof alcohol:
Sometimes you drink it in because it is so sweet.
Sometimes you get sick because it has too many adulterates
And sometimes you get mad because you meant to buy high proof alcohol.

Things have been going pretty good. Deb and I have been enjoying our time of rest. We still have almost a week of vacation left. The holidays were great. It was a real treat having the whole family over for Christmas. It was pretty crazy having twelve people here though. My prime-rib turned out GREAT! A couple of things didn't turn out the way it was expected. We bought a lot of food for meals that didn't happen, and for people that did not stay as expected. Bad communication was had all around (or none at all in some cases). We will just have to work on that now won't we?

I have an interveiw on Jan 6th for the Fresno Unified School district as a web master. I am looking forward to it, as it should be a fun job. http://hr.fresno.k12.ca.us/jobdesc/classified/Webmaster.pdf

We will be having a nice time of friends joining us around new years. Can't wait to see everybody!

sounds a LOT like my family's holiday. 15 people (before I got there), and seven of them had to leave a week earlier than planned.

Yeah, my folks will be eating on the excess food for quite a while.

Planning one meal a day for company and then having eggs and other basics on hand usually covers it. You always end up with big meals served at odd times and people want to go out somewhere or whatever. You can always throw together a salad or pasta if you have your staples on hand. Sort of like when you all ended up eating tortilla pizzas here on Christmas Eve : )
