So little time, so much to do

Greetings from the depths of exhaustion
Things have been good with me overall, but I have been feeling very drained for reasons that I cannot figure out. It is mostly emotional. What is so exciting in my life that would cause me to be emotionally burned out? I really feel as if I am missing something, and I can't figure out what it is. Spiritual warfare maybe? I'd really been working on regaining the emotional part of my relationship with God (having spent too much time focusing on the intellectual), so I guess it wouldn't suprise me if that were where I was getting attacked.

We went to Portland last weekend for Mia's wedding. It was fun to see people.
This next weekend we have two parties.
Weekend after that we have Mia's reception.
Weekend after that we have who knows what (please be open)
Weekend after that we have Christina's wedding.
Weekend after that we are free (FREE!!!!)
Weekend after that we will be in AZ for GS's wedding
All the weekends after that till the end of the semester I will be working on getting my thesis finished and preparing for finals.

Sigh

We are thinking about renting an apartment in Fresno with our renter money. Just a small place. It would be nice for the nights we don't need to be in Visalia (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) just so we wouldn't loose those two hours of driving. We will have to see though. I'd have to change around my workout schedule a bit if I wanted to have those nights free which would probably mean giving up tennis.

In case I forgot to mention; my thesis proposal was approved, and I am on to the research part of the process. Still looking forward to the work, just worried about how I am going to find the time.

My class (advanced network security) is actually directly applicable to the work I am doing for my job, so that is kind of nice.

To everyone I haven't had time (or been able) to spend time with/talk to, I miss you.

TGIF

No, Seriously, TGIF.

It has been a weird week. I've been stressed, but I haven't really had any obvious reason to be stressed. I gave up caffine for the most part last week, so I think my body is still just getting used to the change. Deb and I are going camping at Pismo Beach this weekend, so maybe that will help me relax.

Starting next week I am going to be working a ton of overtime. So basically between work and school I will literally not have time for anything else. Except for Bible study and church of course. We will have to see if I will keep playing Tennis, and I will definitely still do my personal training sessions at the gym. So other than those things I will literally not have time for anything else. Oh, and I will spend time with Deb. So other than that and those other things I will literally not have time for anything else. Except Josh is coming to visit on Tuesday, so other than him coming and that, and those other things I will literally not have time for anything else.

Work is good for the moment. We finally just got a new Chief Technology Officer here, which should really help the work environment quite a bit.

School wise things are good. I've actually managed to stay on top of everything so far. I only have one class since I am working on my thesis. I just finished getting my proposal and commitee forms turned in, so I'm pretty much good to go on that front.

Toodles.

I totally was just thinking of calling you

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/09/05/telephone_telepathy/

So now scientists are studying the fact that some people correctly guess who is calling them. I sure hope they take into account that most people subconsciously know people good enough to estimate when they would call, assuming that they are friends at least.

So as our poll for today ( and to see if anyone is still reading ):

Have you ever picked up the phone phone to call somebody only to end up answering the phone before it rang because that person had just called you?

How about calling someone only to get a busy tone because they had just called you?

I've had both happen, with the latter happening on a monthly basis with Josh.

Time to think

I've been going back through my blog posts since I first started. Has anyone else noticed how much I've shifted from writing about my opinions on things towards only writing about what is going on in my life, and lately not even that? It is interesting how much that has followed my stress levels over the past (almost) two years. Most of the time recently I've barely felt like I was staying afloat, much less that I have time to think about interesting things.

This weekend I went camping in the Sunset camp ground at Grant Grove in the National Park near here with a couple friends. It was probably the first time in a long time that I was able to just sit for three days and not worry about what was going on in my life without feeling guilty for neglecting something of mine that needed taking care of.

Things are going OK at work for now. I am still waiting for some big changes to happen, but unfortunately they are big changes that don't care about little ol' me, so there isn't much I can do to influcence when they happen.

Sigh... that is all for now.

Major Shuttle Problem

It is my sad duty to inform you that they have found a problem with the shuttle launch:

Shuttle Problem

I can't wait to see if it is still there when it lands.

It is a slow day

Hi there, and welcome to yet another installment of "Jeff is bored at work".

It seems like everybody is out of the office, and there is not much going on around here. In actuality, there is only one person gone, but there is still not much going on around here.

I'm going to be on Vacation starting tomorrow till the 5th, so I don't have much work to do since I don't exactly want to start up any new projects right before I leave (not that there are any projects for me to start up). So I'm just completing the hand-full of small things that need to be done today. Things have been going good here over all though. I am still pretty glad I am working here. Hopefully when I get back there will be more work.

I'm not actually going anywhere for my vacation. I was going to go to Phoenix, but I didn't buy a ticket in time for it to be cheap. I might end up driving out there for a day or two though, we will see. Deb is going to be in Florida for 4 days next week, and I was hoping to go with her, but those tickets cost $700, so that isn't going to happen.

I do have plenty of things to do around the house though:
Mow (and do other lawn related yard work)
Wash my car (what color is it again?)
Water trees
Hang blinds
Fix the brakes on both the cars
Beat Oblivion
Play Halo
Do Chris and Will's engagement pictures (put them on the web)
Get caught up on some other pictures
Make a wedding portfolio website
Re-install the four computers we have at the house
Vacuum
Move the litter box upstairs
Get Comcast to come out and fix my cable
Communicate with my school to find out about my Thesis so I can get started
Maybe trench for sprinklers

I'm sure I'll come up with other things to keep me busy as well.

This week has been relaxing. I've taken to reading a book in my car with the airconditioner blasting for my lunch break (as opposed to not taking one at all) which has really made my work day more bearable. At night I have been watching the simpsons and hanging out with Deb, as well as playing xbox.

I'm sure I'll get around to writing something more interesting soon. I have a couple things I need to write about:

Ode to Cassandra
Letters to Hyde
